It’s only right to introduce you to a few key members of the plantation family — the animal family, that is. They’re the heartbeat of this place.

Carrot, the smiling dog.

No, seriously, she smiles.

OK. You get the picture.

The Jack Russell Terrorist, Freckles.

The geezer, Gus. Age 15

Peat (the pup). The newest member of the family.

He looks a little more professional here…

Nibbles, the guinea pig.

Comet. The small horse with a draft-sized attitude.

Longsuffering Dusty. The kindest horse on the farm.

Shorty. The tallest horse out here. And the oldest.

Dolly. The insane redhead.

One of the many grumpy redheads on the place

…and you wonder why.

Topsy, Turvey, and Pipsqueak. Soon to be released back into the wild…somewhere where there are no garbage cans.

Cocky. He hangs around.

The alligators. Too many to count.

One of the newcomers this year.
Then there are the cows, the pig we’re not allowed to name, the coyotes and armadillos we love to hate, and more. All of these are the animals that add so much life and joy to our lives — and make this farm what it its.

ummm…right?
Good site! Love the recipes!
